Prof. Ming-Ying Lan earned both her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. She is currently a professor in the Rhinology Division, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and also serves as a professor at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.

Prof. Lan is the former president of the Taiwan Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She currently holds positions as the director of the Taiwan Rhinology Society, the executive director of the Taiwan Skull Base Society, and the executive director of the Taiwan Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Her expertise lies in endoscopic sinus surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, and functional rhinoplasty. Her research interests include nasopharyngeal cancer, sinonasal cancer, biosensors, and biomaterials. She has published numerous papers, including works in clinical and translational research. She has also been invited to speak at various international conferences and has served as course director for many sinus and skull base dissection courses.
