PRESIDENT'S MESSAGEDear fellow ENT colleagues COVID-19 reached our shores in early 2020, and it is here to stay. These are challenging times for all of us, from residents to senior consultants, and especially those in the private sector. Disruption of training, plans for fellowship put on hold, loss of patient volume, and perhaps, most intangibly, the loss of the social networks that we have built over the years. The primary purpose of the Society is to organize activities (both academic and social) for the ENT community. We have, in the past year, together with the Chapter of Otorhinolaryngologists, released statements and organized online CME events to address the issue of COVID-19 transmission. These are just some of the ways in which we bring value to the ENT community. Change is the only constant, and adapt, we must. Together with the rest of the exco, we reaffirm our commitment to bring you more educational and social activities to enrich your lives. These can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home, until we can meet again in person safely. We hope that you will continue to give us your support and look forward to your participation in these activities. May you all stay in good health and have a fruitful 2022. Warmest regards,
Dr Valerie Tay President, SOHNSS (2021-2023) |
