Dr Michael J. HUTZ
Assistant Professor, Section Head of Sleep Surgery
Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery RUSH University Medical Center Chicago, USA Michael J. Hutz, MD, is board-certified in both Sleep Medicine and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Hutz completed his otolaryngology residency at Loyola University Medical Center and went on to complete a fellowship in Sleep Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Section Head of Sleep Surgery at RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago and specializes in CPAP-alternative interventions for patients with OSA. These include drug-induced sleep endoscopy with positive airway pressure, nasal surgery, soft tissue surgery, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and skeletal surgery, such as surgically-assisted rapid palatal expansion and maxillomandibular advancement surgery. He is the associate editor for the 3rd edition of the sleep surgery textbook Sleep Apnea and Snoring and has lectured both nationally and internationally on a range of sleep surgery topics, particularly maxillary expansion. He serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.
